I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and families. I was very blessed this year, so I guess that means it's time for *drumroll* my first ever haul! *gasp*

I promise I'm not trying to make this seem like a "look at all my new stuff" post (that's what hauls are for, right?), so bear with me.

~gag gift.

I would write more about my day in this post, but I need to go to bed soon since I will be working the Holiday Hoops tournament tomorrow gag me with a spoon. Until next time, my pretties! ♡

PS. Since Christmas is over, the layout of my blog is slowly but surely returning to normal.
PPS. After freaking out about it for the last few days, my navel piercing is finally starting to heal! I'm so excited.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

This post is going to be short, sweet, and to the point because my grandma's computer only has Internet Explorer. Nobody likes Internet Explorer, so you know what that's like. (It doesn't like Blogger or GIFs.

Anyway, over the past few days I realized that there is a possibility I might have to transfer to LSU Shreveport (which I'm secretly hoping will happen because I'm getting tired of NSU). However, I don't plan on worrying about that until I absolutely have to.

I've noticed that I always have these crazy ideas that I never commit to or go through with. Today, for example, I decided that I was going to write a book. Fictional, of course. I'm not going to give away the plot just yet, but the title of the book will be called Reflect. I'm just going to leave this here...

noun: reflection
1. he throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it.
2. an amount of light, heat, or sound that is reflected by a body or surface.
3. an image seen in a mirror or shiny surface.
4. a thing that is a consequence of or arises from something else.
5. a thing bringing discredit to someone or something.
6. serious thought or consideration.
7. an idea about something, esp. one that is written down or expressed.

Good vibes + blog makeover.

Hello, hello!

For the first time in a very long time, I felt a sense of clarity and relief come over me when I woke up this morning. Since I had been so stressed with college, I just now realized Christmas is in 5 days! Since I am trying to get myself in the Christmas spirit, I gave my blog a complete makeover, along with a new URL, a new theme that I tweaked to be more Christmasy, a small playlist of Christmas music, and, wait for it, it's snowing on my blog. Let me know what you think!

For the record, my next few posts are going to be bombarded with holiday pixels, so I hope you guys are just as excited for Christmas as I am.

I survived my finals!

Hey guys! ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐Ÿ˜„

Sorry for being inactive and taking so long to reply to you guys! I've been busy with school, but I made it through my first semester at NSU! I'm pretty mad at myself for not doing as well as I could have, but I walked away from finals with my 3.5 GPA still intact.

I never thought I would say this, but I've never been happier to be back home in Center. After finals were over, I was all like "What do I do with my life?"

Unfortunately, I'm still in that "What do I do with my life now?" mode. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

This weekend (it's Thursday, but it feels like a Friday so I'm considering today the start of my month-long weekend), I'm planning on going to youth group for the first time since August  ✊ ๐Ÿ˜ญ, going to Christmas with my Dad's side of the family on Saturday, then I'm going to read Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, which I bought a few days ago. I'm only on the 2nd chapter, but so far the book is very politically incorrect and hilarious. I'll do a review on it when I'm done reading.

I hope you all have a very happy day! ๐Ÿ’•

There is no difference between loving someone and being in love with someone. You either love them or you don't.
"You didn't love her. You just didn't want to be alone. Or maybe, maybe she was good for your ego. Or maybe she made you feel better about your miserable life, but you didn't love her. Because you don't destroy people you love." -Greys Anatomy
Why is it that when you stop thinking about someone, they come back into your life?

I don't understand how you can lie to my face about everything when you said you would never hurt me. That was also a lie.

I'm tired of being everyone's second choice.

I used to think I was sad all the time but now I know I am just empty.

If you wear your heart on your sleeve, it will turn black.

Dead Week/Christmas Cheer?

Hey guys!

I don't really have much to say, but I came back to Natchitoches yesterday and decorated my dorm in anticipation for Christmas! This will be my first December away from home, so I'm quite proud of myself. :D

Oh, and Dead Week is this week.

By the way, does my music player work? It worked at home but now that I'm in my dorm it won't play. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

EDIT: Next week is dead week. *facepalm*

Let's give this another shot, shall we?

Hey guys! I haven't blogged since June and the other day I was thinking about blogging again.

During my hiatus I moved to Louisiana and started my *first* semester of college at Northwestern State University. I made friends, lost friends, had my heart broken twice, and got a navel piercing, which I'm really excited about. I learned a lot about myself that I didn't know before and maybe even grew up a little.

Thanksgiving was today, and today I realized how dysfunctional my family really is. I got to see my newest cousin, Cade, for the first time, and if you need an idea of how big the baby is, he's 3 months old today and is already wearing clothes for 6 month olds. He seriously looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid. He was wearing a shirt that said "Gobble gobble gobble" on it, which I thought was appropriate.

While everyone was joking about Cade's size and his new nickname, Cee Lo Green, my 5 year old cousin, Alli, was running around in a Supergirl costume my mom got her for her birthday, then my aunt's Italian greyhound left a lovely surprise underneath the table and cleared out the entire kitchen... so yeah. You could say this Thanksgiving was just a tad bit dysfunctional.

If you need me, I will be doing the homework that's due tomorrow night at midnight. I have got to stop procrastinating.

Oh, and I'm getting my first tattoo in exactly one week. :D

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!
